Clauses of General Health Insurance Law define the conditions required for an insurance holder’s dependents to benefit from general health insurance. Maternity health benefits are also included within the scope of general health insurance.
The dependants of an insurance holder can benefit from medical care if 30 days of universal health insurance premiums are paid within the last year.
On the other hand, nursing benefits for female insurance holders or employees whose spouse gave birth are regulated under short term insurance. Within this scope, 120 days of short term insurance premium should be paid within one year before the birth to be entitled to nursing benefit.
