What are conditions for entitlement to old age pension in accordance with the new Social Sec. Law

Along with other changes, Social Security and General Health Insurance Law no 5510 contains significant amendments regarding old age pension.

Accordingly:

Those who are considered as insured for the first time with this Law;

Minimum age limits are:

-58 for women

-60 for men

Or at least 9000 days;

Eligibility ages are defined as follows:

FOR EMPLOYEES:  (4/A) need to have paid old age, invalidity or deceased insurance premiums for at least 7200 days in order to be entitled to old age pension.

Between the dates 1.1.2036 and 31.12.2037, 59 for women, 61 for men

Between the dates 1.1.2038 and 31.12.2039, 60 for women, 62 for men

Between the dates 1.1.2040 and 31.12.2041, 61 for women, 63 for men

Between the dates 1.1.2042 and 31.12.2043, 62 for women, 64 for men

Between the dates 1.1.2044 and 31.12.2045, 63 for women, 65 for men

Between the dates 1.1.2046 and 31.12.2047, 64 for women, 66 for men

Starting with 1.1.2048, 65 for both women and men

In application of age limits, the age limits that were valid for the date when the required premium dates are completed are taken as basis.

For instance, an employee whose insurance started in 2008 will complete 7200 days of premium in 2028 on condition that she works continuously and according to the age limit valid on that date, if the woman is insured, she can retire at the age of 58.
