Work accident notification of a foreign employee should be made manually.
Foreign employee who had a work accident must be immediately notified to security forces (police or gendarmeries) by the employer.
Notification to SSI will be made within 3 work days following the date accident is occurred. Weekends and public holidays are not counts, for example if the accident occurred on Wednesday notification should be made on next Monday at the latest.
MANUEL NOTIFICATION
Notification in SSI system can only be done with TR identity number, however foreing employees, unlike of Turkish citizens, have foreign employee numbers starting with number 9. For this reason Occupational Accident and Occupational Disease Notification Form (İş Kazası ve Meslek Hastalığı Bildirim Formu) is downloaded from SSI website, and filled in form can be sent to relevant SSI directorate by registered mail or can be submitted by hand.
Independently working foreigners notifies the work accidents themselves within the period not exceeding one month.
ADMINISTRATIVE FINE
Employers who don’t notify the work accidents within the determined time will be charged administrative fine of 3.092 to 9.276 TRY.
