Periods of medical leave for the insured employees are reported on the Social Security Institution’s (SSI) website. These reports are supposed to be declared in 5 days starting from the end of report day. In case of not reporting, SSI used to send a written notification to the company and there was a money penalty in case the company would still not declare.
As of July 1st 2012, the rest benefits reported by health institutions will be declared in related part of the Institution’s website. Employers will be able to see the reports as soon as health institution enters the report of the sick employee. By this application, the employers will be required to declare the temporary disability report within 5 days. As the employers will be informed right after the Health Institutions upload the information to the system, there will not be any written notification from SSI. Consequently, failing to declare the temporary disablity report in 5 days will be subject to money penalty.
Under these circumstances, received reports need to be provided to Human Resources Departmant urgently and declared to SSI Website. Employees should be advised to deliver the temporary disability report on time in order to avoid money penalty regarding the delay of declaring.
