Social Insurance and Universal Health Insurance Law no 5510 imposes the obligation to notify the end of the insurance to the Social Security Institution.
This regulation came into effect as of 01.10.2008. Starting from 01.08.2009, if the employer fails to notify the Social Security Institution, an administrative fine will be applicable. Notification will be made through Social Security Institution’s website. As of 01.08.2009, the notification made to Social Security Institution abrogates the obligation to provide notification of leave to Employment Institute and Appendix-2 to Ministry of Labor.
