As per the Circular 22nd October 2015 issued by Personnel and Principles General Directorate of Prime Ministry, public employees in state institutions and organizations will be deemed on administrative leave on Friday 30th October 2015 which is subsequent to Republic Day.

Consequently, public employees will have 4,5 days holiday uninterruptedly between 28th and 1st November and many of the public agencies including SSI departments and tax offices will be closed.

It should be noted that the said administrative leave does not include the private sector employees who have 1,5 days of leave for 29th October Republic Day (starts from 28th October, 13.00 o’clock and continues during 29th October), therefore private sector establishments have no obligation to close on 30th October and there will be no additional pay for their employees worked on Friday 30th.

Also please bear in mind that, if the last submission dates of some statutory notifications and last dates of payments for public receivables coincide with a weekend or/and national and general holiday, in this case Friday 30th, they will automatically extended until the end of following day. In this case until the end of the 2nd November, as 31st October and 1st November are weekend.
