The period for the additional employment incentive, which was originally implemented to reduce the cost of employment for the employers, is extended until 31.12.2023.
Regulated in the temporary article 10 of the Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447, the incentive covers 15.5% of the employer’s share of the income (the basis of the insurance premium is compensated by the unemployment insurance fund.). The duration of employers’ benefiting from this incentive, varies between 6 months and 54 months, depending on the gender and age of the insured employee, and the documents he/she has.
In order to benefit from this incentive, the insured must be unemployed registered with the Turkish Employment Agency, must be over the age of 18 as of the date of employment, and must not be registered in the withholding and premium service declarations submitted to the Social Security Institution in the six-month period preceding the date of employment, and the insured must actually work.
The insured must be hired in addition to the average number of insured persons reported in the withholding and premium service declarations of the last 6 months.
