The Bag Law No. 6704 (Article 11) that appends an additional Article 5 to the Social Assistance and Solidarity Encouragement Law No 3294 got through the Parliament with some additional clauses on 14 April 2016 and issued in Official Journal 29695, dated 26 April 2016.
MINISTRY WILL RECORD AND FOLLOW THE HOUSEHOLD OF NEEDY PERSONS
The mentioned additional Article 5 to the Social Assistance and Solidarity Encouragement Law No 3294 briefly reads as follows;
“Total amount of the employer contribution share of the social security premiums, calculated on the minimum SSI base amount, will be covered by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy during one year period for the following employed persons;
- who have someone in his/her household that received regular social aid in cash at least once within the last one year prior to the start date of employment,
- whose domestic income per capita should be less than one thirds of the minimum wage,
- and also be recorded in Turkish Employment Agency as unemployed.”
Now with the additional clause;
The persons who are suitable for work in such household will be recorded in the İŞKUR system and these people will be included in the vocational training or/and active workforce programs of İŞKUR. Social aids of such persons, who are refused the offers to work three times, will be interrupted for one year.
