Retirement after 3600 work days

Q: If an employee has completed 3600 work days and worked for 15 years in total, is he entitled to severance pay?

A: Yes, according to Turkish Laborlaw if an employee has completed 3600 work days for a period of 15 years, he/she is entitled to severance pay. He/she has to present a document to the employer from the social security agency stating that he has worked for the period and cancel employment contract.

The employee is not required to work for the same employer for the 15 year period.
