1. General Information and Scope
This Cookie and Privacy Policy explains the scope, purposes and legal bases of the cookies and similar tracking technologies used on the iskanunu.com website operated by iskanunu.com (hereinafter referred to as “iskanunu” or the “Company”), and how users may manage their preferences in relation to those technologies.
2. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website. Cookies enable the website to recognise you on a subsequent visit, remember your preferences and personalise your experience.
In addition to cookies, the following similar technologies may be used:
- Local storage: Data stored in your browser that persist independently of the browser session.
- Commenting-system integration: Cookies placed by a third-party commenting service to enable you to post comments.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
The cookies used on the website fall into three principal categories. Consent is obtained separately for each category. With the exception of strictly necessary cookies, cookies are activated only with your explicit consent.
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

They do not require explicit consent.
Examples of their functions include:
- Protecting against bot attacks and security threats
- Preventing cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
- Enabling the authentication required for you to post comments
3.2 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how the website is used, including which pages are visited, how long users spend on the website, and whether technical issues occur. Although these data are generally processed in aggregated and anonymised form, they may qualify as personal data under Article 3(1)(a) of the KVKK and are therefore processed on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Article 5(1) of the KVKK.
3.3 Personalisation Cookies
These cookies may be used to remember settings such as your language and content preferences. Although they are not technically necessary, they are based directly on your preferences and are therefore subject to your explicit consent under Article 5(1) of the KVKK.
